The Tiger Kings
The Tiger Kings play 100-proof, soulful southern roots-rock lit with tight grooves, warm harmonies and fun, tasty tunes.
In 1989, when hair bands reigned supreme, and Grunge was still something you wiped off your shoe, Kickin’ Edgar was formed in Atlanta, GA. Made up of four fraternity brothers attending GSU, the group never thought they would still be playing together almost 30 years later…
No, Kickin’ Edgar is not in the Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame…yet, but they’ve vacationed there, they’ve played many songs written by Hall of Famers, and they’ve lasted a lot longer than Disco…or Grunge for that matter. Kickin’ Edgar thoroughly embraced the Athens/Atlanta alternative scene during their early years, taking cues from local artists REM, Pylon, Drivin’ n Cryin’, the B-52s, Michele Malone and the Indigo Girls.
